Jasper Grayden McCourt, Jr., 56 of Walkersville, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. He was born December 9, 1956 in Elyria, Ohio to Jasper G. and Margie Mathes McCourt and was a disabled carpenter and a stay at home Dad. Jasper enjoyed Harley Davidson and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Jasper is survived by his daughter Jenny Robinson of Walkersville; sons Jason McCourt and Winford McCourt both of Walkersville; step-son David Miller of Webster Springs; brothers Michael (wife Crystal) McCourt of Webster Springs and Phillip (wife Samantha) McCourt of Hacker Valley;sisters Mary Nutter and Martha (husband Roger) Hall both of Webster Springs; and grandchildren Dalton McCourt, Nevael Robinson, Kimber Robinson, Sharley Miller, Christopher Miller, Macy Smith, and Madison Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Arletta McCourt; and sister JoAnn Meadows.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Jasper's life will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Green officiating. Interment will follow in Joe McCourt Cemetery, Webster Springs.
