James 'Big Jim' Albert Waybright, 63 January 24, 1949 - September 24, 2012 Jim Waybright, 63, a strong Christian man went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening after a brave fight with Esophageal Carcinoma Cancer. He quietly received his wings and his spot in the Heavenly Choir after he left his earthly body at Webster County Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 24, 1949 in Elkins, WV to George and Clara Rosalee (Hicks) Waybright of Pickens, WV. Jim was raised in Pickens and later his family moved to Jerryville in Webster County, WV. He graduated from Webster Springs High School in 1966. He also graduated from the Nashville Auto-Diesel School in Tennessee. Jim worked most of his life as a heavy equipment mechanic at West Virginia coal mines. Jim married Janet (Hamric) Waybright on July 17, 1971. Jim's favorite hobbies were singing, spending time with his family-especially his grandkids, going to auctions, fixing most anything and making his own contraptions. He was an active member, deacon and sang in the choir at the Bergoo Baptist Church. He truly enjoyed singing most any song but particularly Gospel songs and spreading God's word. He was also an active Mason at the Addison Lodge #116 and the Webster Springs Eastern Star Chapter #145. He is survived by Janet Waybright, his wife of 41 years; children and their families, Becky Lynch-Mace and Bobby Mace and Dana Lynch, Maria and Robert Mace of Webster Springs, WV; Matt and Kassie (Brady) Waybright and Kierstyn of Webster Springs, WV; Elizabeth and Michael Basore, Jr. and Lydia of Hedgesville, WV; his siblings George 'Sonny' and Mary (Wasmer) Waybright of Indianapolis, Indiana; Gerald 'Jerry' Waybright of Parkersburg, WV; Richard 'Dick' and Linda (Kurish) Waybright of  Ravenswood, WV; Robert 'Bob' Waybright of Bolair, WV; and Nancy (Waybright) and Dave Talbott of Parkersburg, WV; his step-mother, Wilma (Brady) Bell-Waybrigh; and step-sisters Jeanine Bell and Jenice (Sean) Millner both of Indianapolis, Indiana.
