James Hamrick

James Paul Hamrick, 70 of Webster Springs went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Webster County Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born September 26, 1946 in Buckhannon to Emmett and Lessie Hamrick and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the Central Regional Jail where he was a Booking Clerk and was a Trustee and Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Webster Springs. He enjoyed helping everyone with mowing, plowing, and anything that needed done, and he especially loved his granddaughter.

James Paul is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Lynch Hamrick; daughter Becky (husband Buck) Chrzanowski of St. Albans; granddaughter Sarah Chrzanowski of St. Albans; sister Jane Malone; brothers John Hamrick, Jackson (wife Vai) Hamrick, and Jerry (wife Tonja) Hamrick; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate James Paul’s life will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Webster Springs with Rev. John Simmons officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the Church. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
