James Hayward McCourt, 82 of Webster Springs passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born October 31, 1929 in Elk River, Webster Springs to Allen Andrew and Zora Mae Payne McCourt and was a miner and sailor. He lived the majority of his life in Webster County and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bee keeping.
Hayward will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2:30 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Hamrick officiating. Interment will follow in Joe McCourt Cemetery, Webster Springs.
