James Daniel Hall, 92 of Webster Springs passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Davis Medical Center in Elkins. He was born December 09, 1925 in Diana to Standard B. “Stuck” and Martha E. “Roxie” Cutlip Hall and was a lifelong resident of Webster County.
Daniel was a United States Marine, participating in the action against Iwo Jima and the Occupation of China. He was a coal miner and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters Janet Morton and Linda Cline; sister Kathleen Kopshina; grandchildren Danny Ray (Cheryl) Cutlip, Michael Cutlip, Brittany (JT White) Postelwait, and Rachel (Jason) Vallozzi; great-grandchildren Drew Lynn Cutlip, Alexandria Vallozzi, Roxie Shae Rose, and Jay White; and numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sue Ann Perkins Hall; daughter Judy Ann Greene; brothers Theral, Lloyd “Skip”, Kenneth, Bobby “Bun”, and Elmer Hall; and sisters Wilma Madeline Riffle and Blanche Hall.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Daniel’s life will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Pritt officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Cutlip Cemetery, Jumbo.
