Jackie James Lynch, 77 of Mason, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley, with his daughter by his side.
He was born November 24, 1947 in Erbacon to the late Clarence and Helen O’Dell Lynch and was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Webster Springs and enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially the Ford Drivers. His favorite driver was Bill Elliott. He also enjoyed watching football and basketball and was a big Mountaineer fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jackie James “Jay” Lynch, Jr.; brothers Cecil Ray Lynch, Ricky Dewayne Lynch, and Danny Lynch; and brother-in-law James Paul Hamrick.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Barbara Lynch; son Joseph Mark (Melissa) Lynch; daughter Traci (Perry) Bias; brothers Dana (Charlotte) Lynch and Frank (Frances) Lynch; sister Ruth Ann Hamrick; sister-in-law Nancy Lynch; grandchildren: Ashley (Andrew) Friday, Breanna (Clayton) Johnson, Jessia Lynch, Chloe Lynch, Emma Lynch, and Lucas Bias; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Interment will follow in WV Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to service time, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, at the funeral home.
