Izetta Jewel "Judi" McDonald

Izetta Jewel “Judi” McDonald, 80 of Iverness, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at HCA Citrus Hospital in Iverness.

She was born July 30, 1945 in Buckhannon to the late Gilbert H. and Izetta “Zettie” Cowger Williams. Judi was a Mother, homemaker and a former Teacher Aid at Diana Elementary School. She became an LPN at Elkins and later an RN at Davis & Elkins College.

She became an Army wife and for 14 years she lived in Oklahoma, California, Missouri and Pennsylvania. She retired with David to Iverness, Florida in 1999. They spent every summer on the family farm in Lick Run until 2026.

She loved gardening, flowers, collecting glassware, attending craft fairs, cruise ships, and ballroom dancing. She was an avid soduko puzzle worker and enjoyed family and Lick Run Decoration Days and reunions. She will be greatly missed by one and all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Edward, Fred, Don, and Jim; and sisters: Virginia, Dorothy, Betty, and Hazel.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 65 years, David McDonald, whom she married on October 6, 1961 in Rock Cave, WV; sons: Eric of Coffeen, IL Jeffrey of Hacker Valley, Chris of Belington, WV, and Marissa Harris of Elkins, WV; grandchildren: Justin, Carlee, Ben, Andrew “Drew”, Rachael, Nora, Jeffrey, Tesa, Jarad, Julie, Tally “Talia”, Trent, and Victoria; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, where Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM.

Private Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Lick Run Cemetery, Hacker Valley, with Pastor Curt Davis officiating.
