Ivan Ross Tanner

Ivan Ross Tanner, 63 of Webster Springs, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025. Ivan was born November 15, 1961 in Buckhannon, WV to the late Ralph Ivan Moffit and Jewell Virginia Hall. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Tanner.

In his younger years, Ivan enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, swimming, and golfing; in these last several years he liked to watch TV but most importantly he was devoted to his son Dakota.

Surviving are his son, Dakota Tanner; siblings, Milton Tanner and his wife Charlotte, Anita Postelwait and her husband Steve, Jeff Anderson and his wife Tammy and Chonda Kosanovich and her husband George; nieces and nephews, Kimble (Michelle) Tanner, Kevin Tanner, Pete Tanner, Sherry (Darren) Cool, Kerry (Tony) Hamrick, Scott Tanner, Martin (Adriana) Anderson, Coy (Maria Mace) Anderson, Nick (Colleen) Kosanovich, Sam (Michaela Lenk) Kosanovich, Joe Kosanovich and Jeff Kosanovich; and also many great nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Service will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Ryan Leonard officiating.  Burial will follow at Cogar Cemetery, Guardian.  Friends may join the family for visitation 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.
