Irene Virginia House Hines, 89 of Diana passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cowen. She was born September 5, 1926 in Diana to Ralph and Dana Clifton House and was a lifelong resident of Webster County.
Irene enjoyed spending time with her family and meeting the people while working the family store, House’s Store, for over 65 years.
Irene is survived by her sister Deloris Hines; nieces Sandra (Gary) Cogar, Deborah (Paul) Groves; great-nieces Teresa (Michael) Kovach and Shelly (Mike) Rose; great-nephew David (Erin) Cogar; three great-great-nephews Eric, Zach and Matthew Rose; and nieces Sue Hall, Kay Jordan, Connie McCourt and Sheila Hatley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Hines; companion Arlie Simmons; and sister Pauline Hines.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Irene’s life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Bender officiating. Interment will follow in Big Run Cemetery, Diana.
