Ida Eva McCourt Green, 103 of Webster Springs, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 04, 2017 at Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cowen. She was born April 1, 1913 to Harley and Angline Carpenter McCourt, one of nine children; six brothers and two sisters; all of whom are deceased. She was married to Ira Green for 70 years before his passing.
Left to cherish her life and memory are her two children, Rosalene Green Neely and her husband Chester Neely and her son Jennings Greene; two grandchildren Stephanie Greene Holcomb and her husband Scottie Holcomb and Jerome Greene and his wife Salina Payne Greene; four great-grandchildren whom all she loved so dearly.
She was a homemaker who loved going to church and always greeting all with an invitation to go to church with her. She loved being a part in family gatherings and church functions, especially preparing meals for such gatherings. She loved gardening and sewing and helping with outside chores.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, January 07, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Ida’s life will be held on Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Rounds officiating. Interment will follow in Green Family Cemetery, Webster Springs.
