Ialene Fay Brown

Ialene Fay (Hines-Hamrick) Brown, 79, passed away on March 30, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

She was born on February 22, 1947, in Diana, West Virginia, to the late Hillard and Merle (Baker) Hines.

Ialene was a devoted member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1380 in Lancaster, Ohio. She found joy in working word puzzles and treasured the time she spent with her family and friends, creating memories she held close to her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Hamrick; her daughter, Starla Hamrick; and her brothers, Harold “Sonny” Hines, Dana Hines and Richard Hines.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Michelle (Cecil) Thrash of Etna, Ohio; her granddaughters, Teaonna (Alec) Knode and Trista (Raymond) Hughes; her step-grandchildren, Katie (Rodney) Hook and Andy Thrash; three great-granddaughters, five great-grandsons, and four step-great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her sisters, Geraldine Spinks and Bernadine Green, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at Select Specialty Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Curt Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowland Cemetery in Bergoo.

Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to service time, from 12-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
