Howard Marion Martin

Howard Marion Martin, 82 of Webster Springs passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born December 25, 1943 in Bolair to the late David and Hazel Mathes Martin.

Howard was a timber cutter and a retired loader operator after 20 years for Jim C. Hamer Company. He enjoyed horseshoes, fishing, cooking, and singing and playing guitar. He loved woodworking, especially building furniture and bird houses. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Richard Martin; brother Harry Martin; and nephew David Martin.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Bobbi Bogner Martin; son Todd Martin; daughter Tammy (John) Blake; son by choice Martin (Stephanie) Lawrence; daughters by choice Loretta (Tim) Perrine and Tracy (Dwayne Johnson) Rose; brothers: Harold Martin and Hartcel (Sheryl) Martin; grandchildren: Susan (Brian) Hall, Wesley (Michelle) Clayton, Ashley (Robert Mullins) Lynch, Sarah Lynch, and Dallas Martin; 13 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 6-9 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.

Funeral Services to celebrate Howard’s life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Johns Cemetery, Cowen.
