Herndon Nicholas Tenney, 89 of Diana passed away on October 23, 2011 at CAMC Memorial Division after an extended illness. He was born July 2, 1922 in Tallmansville, WV to Otis Dewey and Hettie Hinkle Tenney and was a retired coal miner. He was a lifelong resident of Webster County and attended Holly River Baptist Church.
Mr. Tenney is survived by his wife Irene Tenney of Diana; sons Danny (Jean) Tenney and Steve (Joyce) Tenney of Diana; 2 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Keith Hinkle; and 2 sisters Winfred Hinkle and LeAnna Hosey.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Holly River Baptist Church Cemetery.
