Helen Marie (Utt) McCourt, 79, of Webster Springs passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Hidden Valley Center, Oak Hill. She had worked for Webster County Senior Center and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Helen was born January 13, 1940 in Webster County to the late Charles W. and Mable McCourt Utt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Charles Vernon Hamrick and Billy Clyde Hamrick; grandson, Chris Hamrick; brothers, Boyld Lloyd, James Cofer, and Thomas Utt; sisters, Barbara Ann Stout and Carmen K. Springer; sister-in-law, Sandy Utt; brother-in-law, Dennis O’Dell; nephew, Lloyd Hinkle Utt; and nieces, Virginia Kathleen Springer and Brooke Springer.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Parris D. Hamrick; granddaughters, Nichole and Dreama White; brother, Larry (Millie) Utt; sisters, Mary (Eddie) Dilley, Carolyn Willett, Dee O’Dell, Darlene (Mike) Brady, and Joann (Tom) Kline; brother-in-law, Bernard Stout; sister-in-law, Carol Utt; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 6-9PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Funeral Services to celebrate Helen’s life will be held 2pm, Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Angela Stefanov officiating. Interment will follow in Cutlip Cemetery, Jumbo.
