Hartsel Evans

Hartsel Evans, 79 of Webster Springs, WV passed away on September 7, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Clarksburg. He was born February 23, 1932 in Diana, WV to Arthur W. and Ollie McCourt Evans and was a retired mechanic for the City of Bowling Green, OH. He spent most of his adult life in Pennsylvania and Ohio, relocating back to Webster Springs, WV in 1981. The last few years he spent the winter months in Myrtle Beach. He was Lutheran by faith and a member of the Addison Lodge #116 AF & AM. He enjoyed model trains and woodworking, making lots of lamps and giving them to his friends. He also enjoyed fishing and playing card games.
Mr. Evans is survived by his special friend Marie Williams; special step-granddaughter Carly Ash; and sisters Lela Grimes of Clarksburg and Eleanor Guth of OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Norma Mischler; son Mark Evans; and one infant son.
Friends may join the family for Graveside Services on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11 AM at Green Cemetery in Webster Springs. Family Services provided by Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.
