Goldie Edna Moffit age 92 of Webster Springs went to be with her Heavenly Father July 8, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Goldie was born June 18, 1925 in Desert and was the daughter of the late Pleasant Wilson and Oma Eva Brooks Skeens.
She loved to attend church and attended several in the area, Union Valley Union Mission Church, Word of Life Fellowship and the church she last attended was Grassy Creek Community Church. Goldie loved to read her bible, watch the birds, butterflies and was just a lover of nature. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren but most of all her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Gerald Moffit; daughter and her family; Nancy Harding; her chidren, Dwayne Stucky, Melanie Thorton and her husband Cory and her children, Breaenna Wallace and Victoria Shawl; son, Tom Moffit and his wife Debbie and their children and family; Kristopher Moffit and his wife Laurie; their daughter, Marissa Gojkovich and her husband John along with their children Sophia and Wylie and Nick Kelly and Tom’s other son Michael Moffit and his wife Kelly and their children; Kyle, Kody and Kory Moffit; twin brother, Golden Skeens and his wife Norma and also many nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday July 11, 2017 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Eddie Bender officiating. Burial will follow at Harrison Cochran Cemetery, Grassy Creek. Friends may call 6:00-9:00 PM Monday at the home of Gerald and Goldie (2769 Diana Dr. Webster Springs) and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Friends and family are welcome to join the family for a meal immediately following the Graveside Services at Union Valley Union Mission Church.
