Golda Harrison

Golda Mae Harrison, 85 of Webster Springs passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 03, 1929 in Bolair to Henry Howard and Ellen Lee Walker Miller and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was a member of Sand Run Missionary Baptist Church, a 1948 graduate of Webster Springs High School, and a 1968 graduate of Glenville State College. She taught school in the Webster County School System for over 35 years and was a member of the Webster County and State Association of Retired School Employees.

Golda is survived by her special friends Jodie, Cody, and Jay House and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Benjamin F. Harrison; brothers Lonzo, Walter, and Clarence; and sisters Lela, Lettie, Rebie, Viola, Arlie, and Orpha.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Funeral Services at 1:00 PM at Sand Run Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Pat Greene and Rev. Larry Lovely officiating. Interment will follow in Woods Cemetery, Webster Springs. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, PO Box 989, Cowen, WV 26206.
