Glendolene Gum, 72 of Webster Springs passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at CAMC General Division in Charleston.  She was born April 26, 1941 in Fayette County to Walter and Edra Sears Howell and was a homemaker.  She was a lifelong resident of Webster County and Primitive Baptist by faith.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were her life.

Glendolene is survived by her daughters Janet Cogar of Webster Springs, Jandese (Robert) Johnson of Forest, MS, and Janna Nycole Brooks of Cowen; sister Waneta Preisler of Marshall, NC; grandchildren Dusty, Rusty, Ethan, Adam, and Gretchen Cogar, Candise, Tony, and Julianne Johnson, Kody Bailes, Bryanna, and Nataly Brooks; and great-grandchildren Emily Cogar, Waylon Smith, Hayden, and Jacob Chase Cogar.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerald "Jug" Gum; sons Roger and Alva George Gum; daughter Josephine; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.  Funeral Services to celebrate Glendolene's life will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Brother Joe Miller of Charleston officiating.  Interment will follow in Howell Cemetery, Webster Springs.
