Gladys Groves

Gladys M. Groves, 92 of Webster Springs went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Braxton Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 08, 1922 in Diana to Bill and Pearl Gillis Coe and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She retired from the Webster County Board of Education after 30 years of Service as an Educator. She loved her family and God more than anything. She enjoyed gardening and repairing things around the house.
Gladys is survived by her daughter Hullena Cogar; four grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard S. Groves; daughter Sharon Cochran; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; and son-in-law Bernard "Dink" Cogar.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Gladys' life will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Curt Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Cutlip Cemetery, Jumbo.
