George Edward Clark

George Edward “Joe” Clark, 91 of Hacker Valley, formerly of Diana, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 at his home. He was born June 5, 1932 in Parcoal to the late Charles and Maude Bender Clark.

Joe was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Webster Springs; a retired over the road truck driver; and a United States Army and Navy Veteran. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Bob, Keith, Jim, and Fred Clark and sisters Fonda Wilkins, Kathleen Pritt, Mabel Everly, Eleanor Kremmel, and Anna Jean Williams.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Shirley Hines Clark; daughter Patty Clark; son Randy Clark; step-children Kenny (Loretta) Rogers, Marty Rogers, Diane (Ed) Sams, and Mike Rogers; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Cutright officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Life Cemetery, Cleveland.
