Genevieve Hoke

April 9, 1926 — October 31, 2015

Genevieve M. (Herron) Hoke “Jinx”, 89, of Charles Town, formerly of Cleveland, passed away at her sister’s residence in Charles Town.

Born April 9, 1926 in Cleveland, she is the daughter of the late Omar Graydon and Grace Marie (McCray) Herron.  In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Hoke and her sisters, Alma Townsend, Mary Ruth Harper and Oleta Mae Herron.

She lived most of her life in Webster County and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cleveland and the Hacker Valley Rebekah Lodge.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Howard (Barbara) Hoke of Flatwoods, Kelly (Roy) Williams of Volga, Johnna (Lincoln) Norman of Cleveland, and Holly Jill (Mike) Bonnett of Bergoo; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Patricia Blevins of Charles Town, Janice Blackford of Ranson, and Rebecca Kelbaugh of Martinsburg; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 1pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Rev. Chris Cosner officiating. Burial will follow at Life Cemetery, Cleveland.

Friends may join the family for visitation 6-9, Tuesday at the funeral home.
