Gaye W. Crislip, age 97, a resident of Webster Springs, WV passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Nicholas County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richwood. She was born on June 29, 1914, at Deer Creek, Nicholas County, WV. She was the daughter of Brooks Fleming Wilson and Nellie O'Dell Wilson. For 39 years she served Webster County as a teacher at Bergoo Grade School, Rimfire School and Webster Springs High School. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Eastern Star. She is survived by her son George Leroy Crislip of Webster Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Crislip; parents; and brother Ray Woodrow Wilson. Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 12:30 to 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Interment will follow in Walker Memorial Park, Summersville.
