Florence Edna Cogar, 87 of Webster Springs passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Summersville Memorial Hospital. She was born July 20, 1924 in Diana to G. M. and Blanche Hicks Curtis and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Webster County and enjoyed quilting and volunteering at Mountain Marketplace Mission and was a Senior Companion.
She is survived by her special friend Shirley Young of Webster Springs and step-granddaughter Sharon Carpenter of Webster Springs. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Perry Cogar; four brothers; and three sisters.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Rice Cemetery in Webster Springs with Rev. Gary Melton officiating. Family Services provided by Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.
