Evelena Phillips

Evelena M. Phillips, 73, of Camden on Gauley, WV, died on Dec. 31, 2014, in Summersville Regional Medical Center.  She was born at Mill Run, Webster County, WV, the daughter of the late I. G. and Goldie Angel Hamrick.  She lived all of her life in Webster County, worked as an assembly line worker at Bright of America and was a Baptist by faith.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Debbie Phillips, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her husband:  Orval R. "Sonny" Phillips of Camden on Gauley, WV, sons:  Donald (Jennifer) Phillips of Camden on Gauley, WV, Randy (Susie) Phillips of Mt. Nebo, WV, and Ralph Phillips of Camden on Gauley, WV, daughters:  Donna (Craig) Brown of Summersville, WV and Lisa Hanna of Camden on Gauley, brother:  Danny Hamrick of Webster Springs, sisters:  Mary Faye (Ronald) Christian of Camden on Gauley and Donna (Jackie) Williams of Craigsville, WV, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, WV, 11 a.m., Monday, with Rev. Keith Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs, WV.  Friends may call on Sunday, 6-9 p.m. at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, WV.
