Esther Bennett

Esther Mansfield Bennett, 93 of Bergoo, WV, died at Webster County Memorial Hospital, July 14, 2011. She was born in Barton, WV, Jan. 30, 1918. Esther was a homemaker and was retired from Elk River Sewell Coal Co. and was a member of the Bergoo Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Webster County, a member of Webster Springs Chapter #145, OES, a former member of the Webster County Republican Committee, 4-H leader, Point Mt. Cemetery Committee member and Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents,: , Esley and Allie Rossencrance Arbogast, husband: Clarence Bennett, and son: Franklin. She is survived by her daughter: Velma (Don) Moore of South Charleston, WV, special friend: Ocie Scott of Bergoo, WV, six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, with Rev. Bennie Cowger officiating. Viewing will be Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Point Mountain Cemetery, Webster Springs, WV.
