Ellis Gregory

Ellis Gail Gregory, 79 of Bolair went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home. He was born November 16, 1934 in Bolair to Hurley B. and Sarah Miller Gregory and was a United States Army veteran. He lived the majority of his life in Webster County and was a retired steel worker for Republic Storage. He was a member of Beaver Run Community Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking, and gardening. He loved his family and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ellis is survived by his wife Loretta Naylor Gregory; sons Jeffrey (companion Jodi) Gregory of Magnolia, OH; step-son William Payne of Bolair; daughter Rebecca (husband Mike) Jett of Bolair; step-daughters Becky (husband Jessie) Cogar of Bolair and Donett (husband Melvin) Holcomb of Bolair; brothers Elden (wife Sharon) Gregory of Bolair and Esley Gregory of Bolair; brother-in-law Bill Naylor of Bolair; sister-in-law Ann Gregory of Bolair; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson Edward Payne; and sisters Betty Cogar and Imogene Naylor.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Ellis' life will be held on Sunday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Gregory Cemetery, Curtin.
