Elda Jordan

Elda Daphene (Roby) Jordan of Glasgow Rd., Lisbon, OH, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Weirton Geriatric Center where she had been a patient for the past two years.
78 years old, she was born in Vernon, WV on June 14, 1936 to the late Norval and Sarah Ruth King Roby. Elda was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
Preceding her in death was her husband Jesse Ransom Jordan; her two sons Joseph and Dennis Jordan; and her siblings Martha "Jerry" Snyder, Elmer "Pudge" Roby, Ina "Goldie" Bankhead, and Vernon Roby.
Elda will be sadly missed by her loving children Jesse L. Jordan and wife Gail of Beaver, PA; Melvin Jordan and wife Teresa of Lisbon, OH; Winfred "Wink" Jordan and wife Emily of Webster Springs; Jeffrey Jordan of Wellsville, OH; and Olen Jordan and wife Gail of East Palestine, OH. She also leaves her brother, Olen "Van" Roby, her sister, Jewel "Judy" Parsons, both of Geneva, OH; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Friends may join the family for Graveside Services on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Replete.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elda's name to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
