Elaine Cutlip

Elaine Cutlip, 64 of Webster Springs, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Webster County Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She was born April 05, 1953 in Webster Springs to Ab and Oleva Gay Stutler Cutlip and was a lifelong resident of Webster County.

She attended Barton United Methodist Church and worked at Webster County Memorial Hospital for 31 years. She was an asset to the county, helping many local organizations, family, and friends. She was an animal lover, having many pets over her lifetime. Her favorite pet, her cat “Buggs”, will be lost without her.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; brother Larry Cutlip; and sisters Janet Lynch and Barbara Swiney. She is survived by her brother Rick (wife Sue) Cutlip; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and extended family members.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Services to celebrate Elaine’s life will be held at 3:30 PM with Rev. Clay Exel Lynch officiating. In keeping with her wishes, Elaine will be cremated and her cremains will be interred at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Elaine has asked that memorial contributions be made in her honor and memory to Barton United Methodist Church c/o Danny Markle, PO Box 406 Webster Springs, WV 26288 or to your local Humane Society.
