Edra Green

Edra V. Green, 71 of Webster Springs passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Webster County Memorial Hospital.  She was born February 19, 1942 in Quinwood to George and Eva Milam Young and was a waitress and a personal care provider.  She lived most of her life in Webster County and attended Emmanuel Assembly of God.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking. Edra is survived by her sons Thomas Edward (Teresa) Green of Beckley, Joe Allen (Angel) Green of Bolair, and James Todd Green of Culpeper, VA; daughters Nina (Donnie) Bush of Bolair, Bonnie Lee Green of Athens, OH, Cynthia (JR) Straley of Salem, OH, and Lora (Danny) Ferguson of Chester, VA; brothers David (Suzie) Young, Mark D. (Shirley) Young, John (Shirley) Young, and Jeffrey (Sandra) Young; sisters Norma (Donald) Rice, Shirley (Al) Tibbs, Nancy (Gary) Williams, and Rev. Alida (Rev. James Marty) Cowger; grandchildren Donald, Austin, Andrew, Jessica, Crystal, Misty, Timothy, Thomas, William, Brittney, Kayla, Lucas, Dalton, Allison, Brandon, and Ashley; and 12 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers George and Velton Young; and sister Genelda Young. Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. James Marty Cowger officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Webster Continuous Care Center Activities Fund, Emmanuel Assembly of God, or Webster County Memorial Hospital.
