Dorothy Stemple

Dorothy Jean “Dottie” Stemple, 72 of Webster Springs passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016. She was born March 24, 1944 in Rock Cave to Wilbur and Hallie Malcomb Mollohan. Dorothy was a Christian by faith. She graduated from Davis & Elkins College with a degree in Education.
She raised two children and loved to talk about working at Cutlip’s Store. She was a member of the NRA, Webster Springs Garden Club, and West Virginia Garden Club. She was a former substitute teacher and a Hunters Education Instructor.
Dottie is survived by her husband William “Bill” Stemple; son John (wife Jill) Stemple; daughter Susan Stemple (Paul) Thompson; sister Betty Ziegler; granddaughters Alexandria and Isabella Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Glenn, Dale and Carroll Mollohan.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Dottie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
