Dorothy I. Rogers, 71 of Webster Springs went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Webster Continuous Care & Rehabilitation Center in Cowen after an extended illness. She was born December 13, 1941 in Dorothy, WV to Orval "Red" and Bird Hall Gilles and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Webster County and was Pentecostal by faith.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Rogers of Webster Springs; brothers Ronnie and Elmer Gilles both of Webster Springs; sister Geraldine Miller of Marietta, OH; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Wendell, Doylee, Bobby, Daniel, and Bacil; and sister Ethel Golden.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Larry Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Webster Springs.
