Dollie Carpenter

Dollie B. Carpenter 77 of Cowen passed away February 17, 2010 in United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, WV after a brief illness. She was born in Braxton County, WV on April 29, 1932 a daughter of the late Charlie and Dorothy Blankenship Malcomb. Also preceding her in death were son, Terry; brother, Charles Malcomb; sisters, Opal Perrine and Helen Morris. Dollie was a Protestant by faith, a bookkeeper for Carpenter Logging owned by her husband Dorsey, a loved Mother, Grandmother,sister and aunt. Survivors include husband, Dorsey; sons and their wives, Ray and Linda of Fayetteville, NC; Harry and Mabel of Cowen, WV; Gary and Jeannie of Clover, SC; daughters and their husbands, Sue and Benny Butcher of Parkersburg; Mary and Jim Wayne;and Sandra and Aubrey Jones all of Cowen; siters, Ruth; Chick and Rita; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Service will be held Saturday February 20, 2010 at 1:00 pm in Adams-Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Williams officating. Burial will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin.
