Diane Elaine Davis, 69 of King George, VA passed peacefully from this life the early morning of Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.  She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.  She was born June 6, 1943 in Jamestown, NY to Ray Cecil and Gladys Marie Pederson Finch but has lived in West Virginia and Maryland.  In 1992, after raising her three daughters and three sons, Diane and her husband of 52 years moved to beautiful King George, VA where she lived the remainder of her life.   and was a Store Associate for Sheetz.  She enjoyed crocheting, collecting angels, and keeping up with her family.

Diane is survived by her husband Kenneth Oden Davis; daughters Wendy (Richard) Jansen of Chapman, KS, Brenda Beer of Bealton, VA, and Laurie (David) Hawkins of Jacksonville, FL; sons Gale Davis and Bobbie (Denise) Davis both of Randolph County, WV; ; brother Raymond "Sonny" Finch, Larry Finch, and Tim Finch; sisters Jean Ickes and Bonnie Piazza; special friends Susan, Mike, Helen, and Charlie; four granddaughters; six grandsons; two great-grandchildren and one expected to arrive in the near future; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son Kenneth Davis Jr.; brother Barry Finch; and grandson Nathan Bryce Davis.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Curt Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Hodam Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Dodd & Reed Funeral Home to assist the family with financial responsibilities.
