Denver Wilson Ash, Jr.

Denver Wilson Ash, Jr., born September 2, 1943 in Pt. Pleasant, WV to the late Denver Wilson Ash and Pauline Tucker Jones, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was at home with his loving wife by his side.

Denver is preceded in death by both his parents, brothers: Junior Jones, Andy Jones, and Jay Jones; sisters: Loretta Blake, Barbra Ann Jones and Charlotte Mae Jones; son, Denver Wilson Ash, III; granddaughter, Heidi Elizabeth Blankenship; sons- in-law: Chester Blankenship, Curtis Harmon, Bobby Gilles; and grandson-in-law Tommy Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Mary Elizabeth Jordan Ash of Webster Springs, WV; son, Donald Ash (Cathy) of Cherry Falls; daughters: Margie Casto (Junior Casto) of Robertsburg, WV, Linda Wilcoxen of Pine Grove, WV, and Maudie Pittman (Rex Pittman) of Diana; sister Yvonne King of Gallopolis; grandchildren: Terri Harmon, Paula Mae Johnson, Lee Blankenship, JW Gilles, Bobby Gilles Jr., Natasha Yates, Cynthia Atwood, Jeremiah Ash. He is also survived by 17 great- grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way.

Services to celebrate Denver’s life will be held 5pm, May 20, 2026 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Bennie Cowger and Bro. Donnie Shaffer officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service.
