Debra Darlene Green, 59 of Craigsville, formerly of Webster County, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Summersville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1954 in Webster Springs to Merlin Green and Ruth Cogar Green Beckwith and was a lifelong resident of Webster and Nicholas Counties. She enjoyed camping, fishing, attending bluegrass festivals, and spending time with her family.
Debra is survived by her mother; children Anthony (companion Tammy Conner) Bright of Craigsville; daughter Jennifer (husband Hank) May of Mineral, VA; brother Eddie (wife Wilma) Green of Upper Glade; sisters Pamela (husband Jim) Short of Upper Glade and Teresa (companion Landis Williams) Green of Webster Springs; companion Buck Hamrick of Craigsville; grandchildren Katelyn, Cody, and Cayden May; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; paternal grandparents Chub and Lilly Green; and maternal grandparents Minter and Erma Cogar.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Green officiating. Interment will follow in Joe McCourt Cemetery, Webster Springs.
