Dannie McIe

Dannie Ross McIe age 70 of Webster Springs passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at his home.  Dannie was born June 15, 1949 in Desert and was the son of the late Lonnie and Eula Hamrick McIe.  Along with his parent he is also preceded in death by his brothers Jim McIe and Buster Hall.

Dannie was a Baptist by faith and attended Webster Springs First Baptist Church.  He was a 1968 graduate of Webster Springs High School where he played basketball and baseball.  Dannie was a baseball pitcher and had the nickname of “sophomore sensation”; he also played baseball in the Moose Lodge; was an avid college football fan, especially Nebraska Cornhuskers. Dannie was retired from ICG; he loved everybody and never had a fault with anyone.

Surviving are his wife Becky McIe; daughter, Jennifer Bruffy and her husband Ryan, step-son, Steven Humphreys and his wife Becky, step daughter Stephanie Snyder and her husband Todd; grandchildren, Lyndsey and Lexie Bruffy and Huntington Jay Snyder; brothers, Kenny Pritt and his wife Bessie and Keith Pritt and his wife Josephine; sisters, Carol Gum and Sharon Stoots; best friend Austin Woods; mother in law, Alice Martin; father in law, Bill Woods; fur babies, Mac and Stinky and also many other extended family, friends and neighbors.

Service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Ron George officiating.
