Daniel Lee Murphy, 68 of Webster Springs passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Webster County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 29, 1946 in Waynesburg, PA to Daniel and Dorothy Fortney Murphy and was a United States Navy veteran. He was an electrician and enjoyed traveling and the outdoors.
Daniel is survived by his wife Judith Ann Harmon; grandson Samuel Boggs; sisters Carol Murphy and Judy (husband Kenny) Swagger; brother and sister Timothy (wife Linda) Harmon and Faye (husband Denny) Lewis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cindy Wanto.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Daniel's life will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Melton officiating. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
