Daniel Marvin Harris, 74 of Gauley River passed away on Sunday, June 07, 2020 at CAMC Memorial Hospital. He was born December 07, 1945 in Webster County to the late Albert and Tina Cogar Harris.
He was a local preacher for over thirty years; served in the United States Army; and was a policeman for the town of Camden on Gauley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jean Nicholas Harris.
Marvin is survived by his daughter Glenda Paquette; sons John, Dwayne (wife Vicky), Daniel (wife Renee’), Joseph (wife Joanna), and Nicholas Harris; 29 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Areta (husband Thurman) Compton; and many other extended family and friends.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Services to celebrate Marvin’s life will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Terry officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that Memorial Contributions be made to Dodd & Reed Funeral Home to assist with final arrangements.
