Crawford W. "Sonny" Imler, 66 of Hacker Valley passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. He was born September 3, 1947 in Roaring Spring, PA to Wilmont and Verna Crawford Imler and was a retired Claims Payor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Company. Sonny grew up in Martinsburg, PA and lived the majority of his adult life in Alexandria, VA until moving to Hacker Valley. He accepted the Lord as his Savior on April 25, 1976 and was Protestant by faith. He enjoyed farming and visiting family and friends.
Crawford is survived by his companion Linda Fraley of Hacker Valley; brother Gary L. Imler of Martinsburg, PA; sisters Bonnie (husband Russ) Hechler of Williamsburg, PA and Dolly (husband John) Ford of Sexton, PA; nephew Matt (wife Pam) Weitzel of Duncansville, PA; and a host of friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents and great-niece Chloe Weitzel.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Crawford's life will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Junior Anderson officiating. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Brumbaugh Cemetery, Martinsburg, PA.
