Webster Springs

Connie D. (Clevenger) Lynch, 71, of Webster Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at WVU Hospital Ruby Memorial.

She was born September 9, 1954 in Webster Springs to the late Harold and Jane Clevenger.

Connie was a homemaker, having retired after 25 years from Women’s Aid in Crisis, in Webster Springs, where she held supervised visitations through Child Protective Services. She was known and loved by all in her hometown and beyond.

Connie had many special gifts of skill to share, including sewing, reading, playing word games, and raising beautiful houseplants (including her mother’s treasured Christmas cactus, over 80 years old). She spent a lot of time teaching her grandchildren her special talents. Out of all, a favorite was making hard candy. It warms our hearts to know her experience, knowledge, and legacy will carry forward through her most precious gifts, “Nanny’s/Granny’s” babies.

Connie’s most profound and final gift to give was love and LIFE, when she chose to be an organ donor.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jackie Harold Clevenger, as well as grandparents: the late Violet Madeline Hamrick, the late Thomas Wade and Sallie Jane Fredrick, and the late David and Ida Clevenger.

Connie’s cherished memory will be treasured by her four children and their spouses: Todd Lynch (Leigh Anne), Amber Quinn (Donald), Jared Lynch (Becky), and Seth Lynch (Abby); 14 grandchildren: Toby Dillon (Chelsie), James Dillon (Kiara), Heartlea Lynch (Mikey), Bella, Trenton, Carter, Claire, Preston, Braxton, Addy, Karson, Haislea, Ollie, and “one on the way”; two great-grandchildren: Heaven Rose and Annsley Jade; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; her only sister Kellea Clevenger; nephew Jeremie Garrison; and her best friend Prisilla Peggs; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing.

Memorial Services to celebrate Connie’s life will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Brandon Moll officiating. Friends may join the family for a time of gathering two hours prior to service time, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seth and Claire to assist them with household expenses they incurred unexpectedly. Please mail donations to Seth Lynch 81 Elk River Road, Webster Springs, WV 26288.
