Carol Cogar

Carol Levone Cogar, 77 of Webster Springs, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Webster County Memorial Hospital. She was born December 02, 1936 in Parcoal to Matthew Donald Wilmoth, Jr. and Rebecca Pearl Stout Wilmoth and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was Christian by faith and attended Cherry Falls Chapel. Carol was a member of the West Virginia Federation of Women, Democratic Executive Committee where she was Secretary/Treasurer for several years, the Webster County Memorial Hospital Board, the Economic Development Board, and was Secretary of the Webster County Woodchopping Festival. She loved flowers and enjoyed bowling, hunting, and sawing with her husband Arden. She loved to spend time with Arden and her grandchildren. She enjoyed laughing and having a good time with her family.

Carol is survived by her husband and devoted soul mate Arden E. Cogar; children Debby and husband Robert McCoy of Charlestown, Jeanie and husband Randall Moore of Webster Springs, Bill Fisher and fiancAC.' Roseanna Carroll of Charlestown, and Arden "Jamie" and wife Kristy Cogar of Charleston; grandchildren Kiara and Carmen Cogar; brothers Ernest and wife Katheryn Wilmoth of Phoenix, AZ, Jack Wilmoth of Phoenix, AZ, and Jim and wife Sue Wilmoth of Pickerington, OH; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Byron Wilmoth and Charles "Bub" Wilmoth; and infant sister Betty Wilmoth.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
