Carol Ann Arthur

Carol Ann Arthur, 79 of Webster Springs, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at her home. She was born October 15, 1945 in Webster Springs to the late William Coulter and Genevieve Baker Arthur and was a lifelong resident of Webster County.

She was known for always speaking her mind and having a strong will. She was very independent and did not like to ask for help. She would “adopt the young’ins” in the community, who weren’t always so young, and spoil them with her cooking. She would just call you when the meatloaf, macaroni salad, and hot dogs and chili were ready.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Earl, Virgil, Wayne, Wesley, and Edward Arthur; and sisters: Macel Jean Burger and Virginia Ruth Arthur.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Jimmy (wife Robin) Arthur; sister Mabel Ware; grandsons: Cordell and Nathanael; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services to celebrate Carol’s life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Cofer Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Lynch-Lough Cemetery, Webster Springs.

Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to service time, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, at the Funeral Home.
