Carmen Ward

Carmen Denise Ward, 51 of Oak Hill passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Hilltop Health Center. She was born March 18, 1964 in Chicago to John Delbert and Dixie Geneva Honaker Jenkins and worked in telemarketing. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, going to yard sales, and especially family gatherings. She loved to travel and would go anywhere at any time.

Carmen is survived by her son Anthony Jenkins of Belle; daughters Amber Ward of Belle, Sabrina Ward of Bloomingrose, and Jessica Pettry of Beckley; Raven Boulet who was like a daughter to her; brother John Jenkins of Welch; sisters Veresa Smith of Webster Springs, Tina Massey of Gauley Bridge, and Diana King of Webster Springs; long-time companion Harlon Toler; best friend of more than 30 years Lora Cox; and grandchildren Natalie Scarbro, Aubree Ward, Arianna Javins, Zayden Thompson, Hailey Browning, Ashton Browning, and Jayce Pettry. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Kimberly Harvey.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Carmen's life will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sam Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Parcoal. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, 155 McGraw Avenue, Webster Springs, WV 26288 to assist the family with funeral costs.
