Carmen Kathleen Springer, 55 of Webster Springs passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian after an extended illness. She was born December 2, 1960 in Buckhannon to Charles Wilburt and Ella Mable McCourt Utt and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was a homemaker and attended Compassionate Hope Church.
Carmen is survived by her sons Timothy James Springer of Webster Springs and Oda Kendell Springer of Summersville; grandchildren Braylon James and Elizabeth Mae Case; brother Larry (Millie) Utt; sisters Carolyn Willett, Dorene (Dennis) O’Dell, Darlene (Mike) Brady, Mary (Eddie) Dilley, all of Webster Springs, Joann (Tom) Kline of Ohio, and Helen McCourt of Oak Hill; sisters-in-law Carol and Betty Utt of Ohio; brother-in-law Bernard Stout of Webster Springs; niece and special caregiver Loretta Perrine; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Virginia Kathleen Springer and Brooke Leigh Springer; brothers Boyld Lloyd, James Cofer, and Thomas Utt; sister Barbara Ann Stout; and sister-in-law Sandra Utt.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Carmen’s life will be held on Sunday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Ty Farlow officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Replete.
