Butch Davis, 68 of Webster Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2024 at his home. He was born February 27, 1955 in Webster Springs to the late Roy and Bessie “Ginnie” Howell Davis.
He was a retired truck driver and coal miner, enjoyed riding the side by side with Margie, and riding over to Pickens for a hot dog. He loved tinkering in the garage, hunting and fishing when he was able, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a Christian and a member of the Upper Holly Union Mission Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Davis Stover and brothers Jerry, Perry, Robert, Homer, Raymond and Marvin Davis.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marjorie “Marjie” Hall Davis; daughter Leslie Davis Stover (companion Chris); grandchildren Jazmine (Sebastian), Christian (Brittany), Krista (Andrew), Hayle, Tanner, and Chase; great-grandchildren Amari and Waylon; sister Patricia Riffle; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Services to celebrate Butch’s life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Channel, Pastor Curt Davis, and Pastor Eddie Bender officiating. Interment will follow in McCoy Cemetery, Jumbo.
