Billy Tanner

Billy Gerald Tanner, 71 of Diana passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his home. He was born April 19, 1949 in Diana to the late John H. and Nellie Mae Cutlip Tanner. He was a general laborer in the factory industry and Christian by faith.

Billy was a friend to everybody and took care of people, taking them grocery shopping and to doctor appointments. He enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, telling jokes, and writing poetry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jody Tanner, Derold Tanner, Harold, and Charles “Buddy” Tanner. He is survived by his sisters Judy Rogers of Webster Springs, Carolyn Rocco of Orlando, FL, and Trudy (Arnold) Ware of Guardian; “adopted” grandchildren Charlie and September Hall; and many other extended family and friends.

Friends may join the family for Graveside Services on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Diana.
