Billy Joe McCourt

Billy Joe McCourt, 52, of Webster Springs, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Summersville Regional Medical Center.

Born December 26, 1970 in Buckhannon, he was the son of Jennifer McCourt and the late Andy McCourt. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nada McCourt; uncle, David McCourt; and step-father, Bobby “Pig” Groves.

Bill enjoyed the outdoors; especially hunting and pitching horseshoes.  He also enjoyed working on cars and playing pool.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: James, Gage, Shaina, Jasmine, Harley, and Nada McCourt; brothers: Mike, Kevin (wife, Kelly), and Slader (wife, Marlena) McCourt; sister, Candace McCourt (companion, Chad Deel); grandchildren: Grace, Abel, Jackson, Jazzalynn, Wyatt, Mason, Azalea, and Amarissa; the mothers of his children: Edith Tenney and Amy Conrad; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Friends may join the family for visitation 1pm-3pm, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
