Bernard Eugene "Dink" Cogar, of Sugarcreek passed away surrounded by his family on December 20, 2012 on his 82nd birthday in Braxton County.  Dink was born in Sugarcreek to Racy and Jesse Bender Cogar and was raised up by his grandparents Ben and Nora Cogar.  He grew up hunting and fishing all of Sugarcreek and surrounding areas and later passed his love of the outdoors to his sons and grandchildren.  He was a self-employed logger for 65 years.

Dink is survived by his wife of 49 A½ years, Hullena Groves Cogar of Sugarcreek; sons Howard "Eugene" (Kim) Cogar and Tom (Jayme) Cogar, both of Webster Springs; sisters Corliss Miles Hall of Carlsbad, NM and Kitty Miles Evans of Sulphur Springs, TX; and five grandchildren Whitney, Chris, Vanessa, Kyle, and Allyson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Curt Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Cogar Cemetery, Sugarcreek.
