Beatrice Utt

d. December 5, 2012

Lemoyne Utt, born the daughter of Essie Gay Arthur and Bias Hutchison Ware on November 19, 1924 in Fairmont, has left us on this the 5th day of December, 2012 to be with the Lord.

She was loved by many and loved many as well.  Mother of six, four of which remain, namely Linda Ziegler, Brad Utt, Reggie Utt, and Debbie Utt, and two who have gone on before her, Rodney Lynn Utt and Norma Jean Utt.  Her sisters Geraldine Carpenter and Marjorie Hosey, who still reside in the area, will miss her greatly.  Her grandchildren Seth Utt, Sean Sensenig, Erica Ziegler, and Megan Bradley and her six great-grandchildren will miss her dearly.  She will be missed as a loving mother, wonderful grandmother, dear sister, and friend.  Her loving way toward others and her kindness to all will be missed by those who knew her.

Lemoyne worked at the Webster County Memorial Hospital for many years helping others and loved her work.  She never met a stranger and would give a kind word to everyone she met during the course of her day.  She attended First Baptist Church of Webster Springs and was a lifelong resident of Webster County.

Her son Reggie has been a major caregiver for almost ten years as she developed Alzheimer's.  Just as she gave care to others for many years, she in turn received the best of care from her son.

The people of Webster County have become a part of the Utt family in that Lemoyne had many loving caregivers and the family would like to thank the Senior Center and Mt. State Health in Mt. Nebo for their help in finding the following caregivers through these many years of care: the late Alice Wolford, Bonnie Mason, Linda Barnette, Sheri Woodard, Christy Moffatt, Robin Carpenter, Anita Perkins, along with Nina Bush and Dr. Robert Mace of Webster County Memorial Hospital.  Many thanks to Bill and Sally McCourt and all our neighbors who sent meals to the house, said a kind word, and helped through the years.  Also many thanks to Gentiva Health Care for the physical therapy and mental health they provided through the different stages of the Alzheimer's disease.  We apologize if we have missed anyone; those who helped are too numerous to mention.  We appreciate every one and our thanks are extended to you.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.  Funeral Services to celebrate Lemoyne's life will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Steve White officiating.  Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery.
