Beatrice Cogar

Beatrice Maxine Cogar, 78 of Laurel Fork Rd., Webster Springs, WV, departed this life on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at her residence.  She was born Aug. 8, 1934, at Laurel Fork, Webster Springs, daughter of the late Ora Monroe and Ura Mabel Cutlip Gilles.  She was a grocery store owner and a home care provider.  She had lived all her life in Webster County and was a member of the Sand Lick Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband:  Lonnie Cogar of Webster Springs, sons:  John (Sarah) Cogar and Harrison  (Teresa) Cogar both of Webster Springs, and Tedd Cogar of Indiana, PA, daughters:  Fay (companion Jimmy Hinely) Cogar of Webster Springs, and Ann Cogar of Austell, GA, brother:  Jim Gilles of Webster Springs, sisters:  Nellie Rice of Grafton, OH, and Betty Ware of North Carolina, 7 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 18 step great grandchildren, and one step great-great-grandchild.

Services will be held  2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Vicar Tedd Cogar and Rev. Sam Gray officiating.  Intement will follow in Cogar Cemetery, Jumbo, WV.  Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
